2008, summer SOLSTICE
The December solstice marks the longest night and shortest day of the year. This is where you are free to walk amongst the stones. The size of the stones dwarf the people. Pagans, Druids and dancers gather to observe the sun rise between the stones. Touching the stones meant you get a sense of the enormity of history associated with the placing of these stones.
